Electrical Engineering Opportunities at KLA

KLA offers a diverse range of Electrical Engineering roles, spanning from PCB design to system design.

PCB Design Role

The PCB design engineer will be responsible for producing PCB designs, schematics, and collaborating with layout engineers to fabricate printed circuit boards.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of fundamental electronic components such as power supply regulators, isolators, op-amps, ADCs/DACs
  • Experience with OrCAD PCB, Altium, PADS, or Eagle
  • Familiarity with ADS, HyperLynx simulation (a plus)
  • Ability to work alongside FPGA and firmware engineers to characterize and test PCB systems

System Design Role

The system design engineer will be responsible for developing electrical system designs and working with mechanical engineers to ensure compliance with requirements and ease of serviceability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing power distribution systems, interconnection diagrams, safety interlocks, and supporting hardware
  • Integrating computers, data storage systems, wired or fiber optic networking, and cabling
  • Collaborating with teams to ensure seamless hardware and system integration

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Understanding of AC power distribution
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), fiber optic and cable design, ladder logic, and soldering
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Entry-level candidates (0 years of related experience) are encouraged to apply
