We are seeking a passionate Education Coordinator to join our dedicated team at Baca in Cambridge. As a leading organization supporting 16- to 18-year-old refugees, Baca empowers young people to become independent contributors to society. This opportunity is ideal for an Education Coordinator who thrives in a purposeful environment and is committed to making a lasting impact.

This is a part-time, permanent role (30 hours/week), based at our Cambridge office with travel to Baca service sites. The salary ranges from £23,207–£24,962 (pro rata), plus a Cambridge cost of living allowance of £2,301 per annum.

Key Responsibilities of the Education Coordinator

  • Creatively deliver Baca’s education program tailored to diverse learning needs.

  • Support young people’s progress in line with Baca’s Theory of Change: wellbeing, education, employment, social and personal safety.

  • Continuously evaluate and enhance the education curriculum.

  • Liaise with colleges and partners to facilitate course enrolment and academic success.

  • Recruit, train, and support a team of education volunteers with structured materials and supervision.

  • Manage volunteer activity coordination and ensure impactful student-volunteer engagement.

  • Track and report on education services, outcomes, and budgets accurately.

Experience & Skills Required for Education Coordinator

  • Proven track record in educational or youth service coordination.

  • Experience leading volunteers and project delivery.

  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital tools.

  • Knowledge of challenges faced by unaccompanied asylum-seeking youth.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to service sites.

  • Must pass an Enhanced DBS check.
