Key Responsibilities of an Ecommerce Specialist

  • Develop and manage paid marketing campaigns across Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, Pinterest, and more.
  • Conduct keyword research, audience targeting, and ad placement to maximize conversions.
  • Allocate and optimize paid media budgets to meet defined sales and ROI goals.
  • Monitor campaign performance daily, adjusting strategies in real time.
  • Utilize A/B testing and multivariate experiments to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Analyze performance metrics such as CTR, CPC, ROAS, and conversion rates using Google Analytics, Looker Studio, and platform dashboards.
  • Collaborate with creative, product, and content teams to develop high-performing ad creatives and landing pages.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and new digital advertising opportunities.

What Makes a Successful Ecommerce Specialist?

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience managing paid digital marketing campaigns, preferably in eCommerce.
  • Proficiency in ad platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, and Pinterest Ads.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Google Analytics and data analysis tools.
  • Proven track record of exceeding eCommerce sales and ROAS targets through paid marketing.
  • Knowledge of customer acquisition funnels and eCommerce best practices.
  • Experience with Shopify and other eCommerce platforms.
  • Understanding of audience segmentation, remarketing strategies, and conversion optimization.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with affiliate marketing and influencer partnerships.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO and organic marketing as a complement to paid advertising.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
