About the Role: Early Career Development Fellowship in English
King’s College London is offering the Early Career Development Fellowship in English, a fantastic opportunity for early-career academics to develop their research and teaching expertise. The fellowship is a full-time, fixed-term position for either two or three years, depending on the post. This role offers an opportunity to engage in world-leading research and teaching in English literature from 1800 to the present.
Responsibilities for Early Career Development Fellowship in English
As an Early Career Development Fellow in English, you will:

Teach undergraduate students across various English modules, including introductory modules like Writing London and Writing Poetry.

Pursue and develop a defined research interest in English literature from 1800 onwards.

Collaborate with faculty and contribute to the department’s research and teaching initiatives.
About You: Skills and Experience
To be considered for the Early Career Development Fellowship in English, you should:

Hold a PhD in a relevant subject area within seven years of application.

Have a clear research focus compatible with the department’s existing research strategies.

Demonstrate teaching experience and the potential to deliver engaging and innovative lessons.

Be able to design future research projects and engage in academic administration and external networking.
Desirable Criteria:

A qualification in Teaching in Higher Education, such as a fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.

Experience in online teaching methods and delivery.
