Are you a process-oriented professional with expertise within a hospital setting supporting and leading the documentation integrity of medical records in the Chicagoland area? Our client, a mid-sized hospital organization has an immediate need of a deeply experienced, detail-oriented, Director of Clinical Documentation Improvement to join their team. The Director of Clinical Documentation Improvement will lead the organization to improved patient onboarding, collaborate with all direct members of the hospital operations team to share KPIs, data trends, and more. Director of Clinical Documentation Improvement Responsibilities:

  • Onboard, manage and provide education to all CDI program customers.
  • Provide senior leadership with key performance indicators (KPIs) that illustrate the customer objectives, productivity metrics, physician engagement, data trends, opportunities & challenges and more.
  • Lead the team and collaborate with providers to deliver CDI provider education and tips.
  • Leverage industry expertise to enhance service delivery, improve client relationships and develop the educational programs.

Director of Clinical Documentation Improvement Requirements:

  • Certified Clinical Documentation Specials Credential (CCDS) required.
  • One coding certification in CIC, CCS, CMS, RHIA, or RHIT required.
  • 5+ years’ of clinical documentation within a healthcare provider setting.
  • Experience facilitating the delivery of information at all levels of healthcare provider.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office suite.
  • Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines
  • Adherence to policies, procedures and high degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to function as a team player
