Keys responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new automated frameworks to enhance CI/CD pipelines, testing, and observability at Houzz.
  • Design and optimize tools to boost developer productivity in both local and non-production environments.
  • Refine and improve existing processes and frameworks to support a fast-paced delivery cycle.
  • Manage and maintain CI/CD platforms, including GitHub, Jenkins, and Spinnaker.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams across infrastructure and product development to enhance system availability and uptime.
  • Provide production on-call support, swiftly identifying and resolving issues in an agile environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
  • Proficiency in modern scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
  • Strong expertise in Unix/Linux operating systems and distributions.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably in a microservices environment.
  • Practical knowledge of containerized environments.
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English (both verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in two or more mainstream programming languages such as Python, PHP, Java, Node.js, or Shell scripting.
  • Experience in deploying and maintaining relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
