Keys responsibilities
- Develop and implement new automated frameworks to enhance CI/CD pipelines, testing, and observability at Houzz.
- Design and optimize tools to boost developer productivity in both local and non-production environments.
- Refine and improve existing processes and frameworks to support a fast-paced delivery cycle.
- Manage and maintain CI/CD platforms, including GitHub, Jenkins, and Spinnaker.
- Collaborate with engineering teams across infrastructure and product development to enhance system availability and uptime.
- Provide production on-call support, swiftly identifying and resolving issues in an agile environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- Proficiency in modern scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
- Strong expertise in Unix/Linux operating systems and distributions.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably in a microservices environment.
- Practical knowledge of containerized environments.
- Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English (both verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in two or more mainstream programming languages such as Python, PHP, Java, Node.js, or Shell scripting.
- Experience in deploying and maintaining relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
