Responsibilities & Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and acknowledge them upon departure.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency and adhere to service cycle timing standards.
- Seat guests at clean, dry tables while following proper seating rotation procedures.
- Identify and accommodate special guest needs as required.
- Maintain an organized guest waiting list and follow seating order guidelines.
- Promote menu specials and suggest additional items while seating guests; take initial beverage orders.
- Provide attentive service throughout the dining experience, addressing guest needs as necessary.
- Follow safe cash handling procedures, accurately processing cash, credit card, and discount transactions.
- Use proper telephone etiquette when handling guest inquiries.
- Enter and deliver “To Go” orders with accuracy.
- Address guest concerns promptly and courteously, escalating issues to a supervisor as needed.
- Assist service staff with beverage refills, clearing, and setting tables.
- Support team members willingly, without needing to be asked.
- Ensure a proper supply of clean menus is always available.
- Lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 30 lbs.
- Maintain knowledge of restaurant station and floor layouts.
- Possess a strong understanding of menu items and restaurant offerings.
- Keep the foyer area clean, organized, and inviting for guests.
- Complete all assigned side work, including deep cleaning tasks.
- Adhere to brand standards, policies, and procedures.
- Provide friendly and professional service to both guests and team members.
Essential Functions
- Ability to lift and carry trays weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Capable of bending, stooping, reaching, wiping, lifting, and grasping objects.
- Must have sufficient mobility to operate effectively within the work environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
- Must be able to hear clearly in a loud environment to respond to guest and team needs.
- Possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Comply with state, county, and municipal food handling regulations.
- Ability to identify and differentiate between monetary denominations.
- Must be able to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently.
- Work safely around potentially hazardous chemicals.
