Primary Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, maintain, and enhance predictive models for large-scale manufacturing applications.
- Lead end-to-end projects to improve production efficiency and business performance through data-driven insights.
- Work closely with data engineers and software developers to integrate predictive models into existing and future data infrastructures and visualization platforms.
- Collaborate with process engineering, operations, production planning, and commercial teams to leverage domain-specific expertise.
- Conduct on-demand data analysis to support management decision-making.
Education & Experience
- Ph.D. in statistics, physics, engineering, material sciences, computer science, mathematics, or a related STEM field.
- Master’s degree in a STEM field with at least 3 years of experience in a data-driven role, preferably in high-throughput manufacturing.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with at least 5 years of relevant experience in a data-centric role, ideally within manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in developing predictive models using machine learning and scientific methodologies.
Key Skills
- Expertise in machine learning, mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and scientific reasoning.
- Hands-on experience with machine-learning platforms such as TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Amazon SageMaker, or IBM Watson.
- Strong ability to apply and communicate core data science concepts (e.g., validation, bootstrapping, bias, variance, deep learning, and large language models) to a broad audience.
- Proficiency in SQL, Hadoop, Spark, or similar data management frameworks.
- Skilled in Python, C++, or other modern programming languages.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices, including version control and virtualization.
