How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: As a Data Engineering Summer Intern, you will be instrumental in advancing our mission to digitize and enhance our manufacturing environment. Your contributions will be essential in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive decision-making and operational excellence.
An example of a typical project would be: You might find yourself engaged in projects such as transforming large data sets to extract valuable insights for supply chain optimization and manufacturing health monitoring. Your work could involve developing robust data pipelines for streamlined communication across manufacturing platforms or establishing innovative data collection methodologies. An ideal candidate will be well-versed in data workflows, including discovery, ingestion, filtering, transformation, model creation, deployment, and maintenance. Familiarity with big data technologies and platforms like GCP, Azure, and AWS is expected.
Required Skills And Background:
- Desired Major: Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following majors: Data Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, MIS
- Desired Class Year: Sophomore, Junior
- Desired Skills:
- Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with multiple disciplines and management levels
- Leverage your developing skills in data engineering tools and techniques including Python, R, Power BI, Snowflake, SQL, Google Analytics, Alteryx, Tableau CRM, Datorama
- Understanding data warehousing & developing ETL pipelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / MS Sqlserver, Tableau and/or Power BI
- Project management skills to lead projects to successful conclusions
- Proven problem solving aptitude
- Self-driven individual with high learning agility
