Nair Systems is currently looking for Data Engineer (SQL) for our Qatar operations with the following terms & conditions.
Summary
Seeking a Data Engineer / SQL Developer with 3–5 years of experience in advanced T-SQL scripting, database optimization, and performance tuning using Microsoft Azure SQL and SQL Server. Ideal candidate has a track record of maintaining high-performing databases, troubleshooting queries, and ensuring data reliability for business-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, maintain, and optimize databases in Azure SQL and SQL Server
• Write, refine, and troubleshoot advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
• Analyze execution plans, apply indexing strategies, and resolve performance bottlenecks
• Verify query outputs by understanding business objectives and ensuring data accuracy
• Manage backups, security configurations, and user access controls
• Leverage Power BI for data analysis and reporting
• Document database structures, configurations, and performance improvements thoroughly
• Set up and maintain monitoring and alerting tools for proactive performance management
• Implement security and compliance measures across database environments
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless database integration
• Use Git & Azure DevOps for version control, adhering to best practices
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field
• 3–5 years of SQL development experience with a strong focus on T-SQL and performance tuning
• Proficiency in Azure SQL and SQL Server administration
• Proven ability to debug and optimize complex queries, stored procedures, and functions
• Experience using Git for source control and team collaboration
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to thorough documentation
• Basic reading and understanding of Arabic is preferred.
