Hybrid Work Model
CVS Health follows a three-day in-office hybrid work model—typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday—allowing office-based employees the flexibility to work remotely on the remaining two days. These remote workdays can be from home, the office, or a location of choice.
This role is based in Scottsdale, AZ, and eligible interns may receive a housing stipend. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to connect before the program starts to coordinate housing if desired. The position offers an hourly rate of $23.00, requiring 40 hours per week with July 4th off as a company holiday and two days of paid leave.

About the Business Area
The Information Technology Government Services/Clinical team manages products within Government Services and Clinical Prior Authorization. This role focuses on the Prior Authorization product, which provides a utilization management workflow and rules engine to evaluate clinical criteria for benefit coverage decisions. Responsibilities include application development to support operations and client enhancements.
What You Will Do
- Develop software components and implement complex functionalities based on product requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure application scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Leverage advanced programming skills to design, optimize, and implement high-performance features.
- Write and execute unit test cases, perform code reviews, and debug issues to maintain application stability and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet education requirements (see Education section).
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in a career in software development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience in student organizations, sports, or work-related projects.
- Experience leading projects in school or work settings.
- Previous internship or work experience in a related field.

- Interest in a full-time position at CVS Health post-graduation.
- Experience in C#.NET and Angular application development.
- Ability to work with business analysts, architects, quality assurance teams, and project managers to translate business requirements into defect-free engineering solutions.

- Passion for transforming healthcare and an interest in the evolving healthcare landscape.
Education Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026.
- Preferred majors: Computer Science, Information Systems.
