Job Description
Position Purpose:
Customer Service/Sales Associates play a crucial role in delivering fast, friendly, and proactive service by identifying customer needs and offering tailored solutions. Using company tools and resources, they develop product expertise to help customers complete their projects successfully.
In this role, associates will learn to greet, qualify, recommend, and close sales while also gaining a basic understanding of adjacent departments. They are responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor, ensuring a safe and shop-able environment.
Every associate is expected to prioritize safety, following all company policies, completing required training, and taking immediate action to correct or report hazards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to assess their needs and provide expert assistance.
- Utilize product knowledge to recommend comprehensive project solutions.
- Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure a safe, clean shopping environment.
- Work collaboratively with Department Supervisors and team members across different departments.
- Follow all safety protocols, address hazards promptly, and contribute to a safe workplace.
