Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Responsible for a variety of food service production tasks, including preparing hot and cold foods for patient services, retail, and catering operations, while adhering to all dietary guidelines. Ensures proper food handling and storage in compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients by cutting, chopping, slicing, dicing, pureeing, marinating, and more. This includes washing, peeling, and seeding fruits and vegetables, as well as weighing and measuring ingredients.
  • Follow standardized recipes, using various cooking methods such as sautéing, broiling, braising, blanching, baking, grilling, deep-frying, and steaming with institutional kitchen equipment, while maintaining food quality and proper serving temperatures.
  • Properly chill and store food in designated areas, following labeling, dating, food safety protocols, and rotation procedures, while completing food safety quality control logs.
  • Ensure compliance with special dietary requirements, including nutritional restrictions, allergens, modified textures, and other dietary needs.
  • Maintain the highest standards of sanitation, cleaning kitchen equipment, appliances, and work areas regularly.

  • No prior experience required

Preferred Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: Up to 2 years in a similar role
  • Certifications: ServSafe Certification
