About the job
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager to lead our retail and restaurant build-out projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing commercial construction projects, with a particular focus on retail and restaurant environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, from initial planning to project completion.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project specifications and quality standards are met.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Address and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the construction process.
- Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client’s satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a focus on retail and restaurant build-outs.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
- Experience with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) projects.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Lanham, MD.
