Commercial Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Data Collection, Cleaning, and Validation:

• Gather transactional data from multiple sources, including Data Warehouse, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) CRM, and other databases.
• Cleanse and validate data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze transactional data using advanced analytical techniques and data mining algorithms to identify key trends, patterns, and correlations.
• Develop and present reports, dashboards, and visualizations to provide actionable insights to sales teams and management.

Data Analytics & Modeling:

• Conceptualize, develop, and maintain data models for ongoing reporting and analytics.
• Interpret trends in both transactional and user-generated data to drive strategic decision-making.

Reporting & Visualization:

• Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to track KPIs, business metrics, and trends.
• Utilize Tableau and Power BI for effective data visualization and reporting.

Data Governance & Standardization:

• Support standardization of data definitions, policies, and processes to enhance data integrity and strategy implementation.
• Identify opportunities for automation, scalability, and efficiency improvements to support business growth.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Communication:

• Serve as an Analytics Business Partner, providing data-driven support for monthly and quarterly business reviews.
• Communicate findings clearly, translating complex data into insightful recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.

Strategic Decision Support:

• Provide analytical support for commercial teams on a global scale, including periodic reporting and ad-hoc data requests.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives by offering data-backed insights.

Enhancing the Global Reporting Platform:

• Play an integral role in improving the global commercial reporting platform, optimizing data visualization, reporting tools, and infrastructure.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Provide data analytics support for teams involved in Incentives & Compensation, Customer Experience, and Special Projects.

Qualifications & Skills

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, Tableau, MS Excel (Super-user), and MS PowerPoint.
• Hands-on experience in building reports, dashboards, and scorecards using business intelligence tools.
• Strong expertise in SQL for querying, updating, and managing databases.
• Solid understanding of database management, data warehousing concepts, and tools.
• Familiarity with data modeling techniques and ETL processes for data integration.
• Experience in data mining techniques and machine learning algorithms for predictive analytics and pattern recognition.
• Knowledge of statistical software and programming languages is a plus.

Experience & Education

• 2–4 years of experience in a data-driven environment, preferably in Analytics Consulting or a similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Intelligence, Business Administration, or Data Science.
