Key Responsibilities of a Collections Advisor
- Manage and support a portfolio of customer accounts in arrears.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by building strong, long-term relationships.
- Conduct income and expenditure assessments to determine affordable repayment plans.
- Negotiate and set up tailored payment solutions for customers.
- Handle sensitive conversations with empathy, including vulnerable customers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 12 months of continuous experience in consumer credit collections.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify the underlying cause of arrears and provide solutions.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience working with vulnerable customers is a plus.
