What to Expect as a CDL Driver:
Our CDL drivers ensure safe, complete, accurate, and timely deliveries to customers while adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) and other relevant regulations.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Planning efficient delivery routes to ensure on-time delivery.
- Loading and unloading the vehicle, securing products properly, and segregating hazardous materials appropriately.
- Collecting payments and accurately documenting deliveries.
- Maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)).
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting any necessary maintenance.
- Maintaining a clean, well-maintained, and presentable vehicle.
- Continuously expanding job and product knowledge.
- Performing other assigned duties.
Requirements to Drive for POOLCORP:
- Minimum age of 21.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Ability to drive a manual 40′ flatbed truck with a Navigator lift.
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) results, showing no more than 2 combined violations or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
