Esland provides care, education, and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 6-18 from diverse backgrounds who have experienced adverse childhood experiences. These experiences may include complex trauma, foster placement breakdowns, and challenges with school engagement. Many of the young people we support have mental and developmental diagnoses that affect their daily lives.
We utilize a therapeutic approach in all our interactions to help young people manage these challenges. Through our support, they learn to build positive, trusting relationships, regulate their emotions, and explore new, positive experiences to prepare for adulthood.

With over 35 years of experience in residential childcare, the Esland group now operates more than 60 residential children’s and assessment homes, along with three schools. Our locations span across Kent, Hertfordshire, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Staffordshire, Wiltshire, Bedfordshire, Nottinghamshire, West Midlands, and Northamptonshire in England. We are dedicated to providing bespoke residential care, education, therapeutic support, and activity-based programs to help the children we support achieve their full potential.
