Certified Nursing Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Assist with transporting, transferring, toileting, positioning, feeding, bathing, dressing, and grooming residents.
• Encourage residents to maintain their highest level of independence while offering compassionate assistance.
• Acknowledge and validate residents’ concerns, fostering a supportive and respectful environment.

Qualifications

Education

• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program in compliance with the Nurse Assistant Training Act.
• Must be registered and in good standing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with the State of Minnesota.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to engage effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to plan and execute tasks independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and a compassionate approach to caregiving.
• Sensitivity to residents’ needs, interests, and abilities, fostering a respectful and caring environment.
• Commitment to exceptional customer service with a focus on dignity and empathy.
