Job Overview

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Washington and other locations. This is a 26-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization

Job Summary:

A Certified Medical Assistant plays a vital role in healthcare settings by providing clinical and administrative support to physicians and patients. Responsibilities include taking patient histories, assisting with examinations, performing basic laboratory tests, and managing medical records. MAs also handle scheduling appointments, billing, and insurance verification, ensuring smooth operations within the practice. Their ability to communicate effectively and maintain patient confidentiality is essential for delivering high-quality care and fostering a positive patient experience. Through their skills and dedication, MAs contribute significantly to the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take patient medical histories and vital signs.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars.
  • Maintain and update patient records and files.
  • Handle billing and insurance processing.
  • Provide patient education and support on treatment plans.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and exam rooms.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Qualifications:

  • BLS certification required.
  • Active Medical Assistant license from Washington state
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and stress management skills.

Weekly Pay: $26-$28
