Your New Company
This real estate company is a major player in North America, managing a diverse portfolio of office, retail, residential, industrial, and mixed-use properties. They oversee over 30 million square feet of leasable space across numerous landmark properties in Canada.
Your New Role
You will be joining the Operations team for a landmark retail property in Downtown Vancouver. You will be reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor and Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Building Operator on retail or commercial properties and have their 4th Class ticket. Responsibilities will include:
- Performing and completing work orders and tenant requests.
- Monitor and maintain all equipment.
- Work with the engineering team to report any issues with building controls and mechanical systems.
- Maintain HVAC, water, refrigeration and heating systems.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Experience working as a building operator on commercial or retail properties.
- 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of maintenance.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints & drawings.

- $41.25 / hour for the first year (~85,000+ annually) this is a unionized position, pay rates are determined through the collective agreement.
