Brand Manager, Goo Gone & BioKleen (Hybrid – Gurnee, IL)

PurposeBuilt Brands (PBB), a leading CPG company with brands like Weiman, Goo Gone, and Biokleen, seeks a Brand Manager to lead the Goo Gone and BioKleen businesses.

About the Role:

The Brand Manager will define the 5-year growth strategy and deliver annual financial results for both brands. Goo Gone is the #1 adhesive remover, while BioKleen is a pioneer in sustainable cleaning products, primarily sold in natural food stores. This role acts as the general manager for these brands, with P&L ownership. The ideal candidate is skilled in prioritizing cross-functional collaboration, analyzing data to inform business decisions, and is highly consumer-oriented.

What You Will Do:

  • Business Management:

    • P&L ownership to drive profitability and achieve financial targets.
    • Project leadership and cross-functional team management.
    • Ongoing analysis of sales data to identify trends and drive actions.
    • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams (Innovation, Operations, R&D, Finance & Sales).
  • Marketing & Communications:

    • Develop and execute advertising, promotional, and media plans.
    • Continuously improve consumer and customer-facing content.
    • Manage packaging architecture and modifications.
    • Initiate and manage market research projects.
  • Innovation & NPD:

    • Identify innovation territories aligned with brand growth strategy.
    • Leverage trends and data to identify new categories and product extensions.
    • Set innovation targets (claims, margins, timelines).
    • Partner with innovation product managers.
  • Sales & Finance Partnership:

    • Align brand channel strategy with sales strategy.
    • Develop sales presentation materials.
    • Set and align pricing strategy and list prices.

What You Will Bring:

  • 4+ years of brand or product management experience in CPG.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing growth strategies.
  • Experience managing P&L.
  • Experience analyzing sales trends.
  • Experience developing marketing materials.
  • Experience developing new products.

Compensation Range:

$92,600 – $135,000 (commensurate with skills, experience, location, and education).
