Position Responsibilities

  • Business Acumen & Sales Strategy:

    • Analyze business trends and implement improvement plans using strong critical thinking skills.
    • Drive guest-centric initiatives (e.g., nutrition standards, seasonal promotions, companion animal sales) to meet and exceed sales targets.
    • Adopt an Omni Channel sales approach, addressing guest needs across services, Vet Services, loyalty programs, BOPUS, Endless Aisle, and repeat delivery.
    • Serve as Leader on Duty for the Pet Care Center, ensuring smooth execution of training, communication, policies, safety practices, and promotions.
    • Process register transactions to create a superior guest experience.
    • Support and model exemplary selling behaviors on the floor.
    • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and manage the performance of your team to ensure efficient Pet Care Center operations.
    • Optimize weekly scheduling to maximize sales floor coverage and guest engagement.
    • Collaborate with the operations team to maintain inventory replenishment and brand standards.

    • Model inspiring leadership and selling behaviors to motivate your team.
    • Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
    • Ensure safety by enforcing company policies, procedures, and new initiatives.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college-level business/management coursework preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience (3+ years preferred).
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in communication, organization, and computer applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong understanding of general business practices, finance, analysis, problem-solving, and people development.
  • A passion for guest service and the ability to teach and inspire others.
