Eaton’s North American Sales division is looking for an Area Sales Manager to join our team in Wilsonville, OR. We offer relocation assistance for candidates residing more than 50 miles from this location. This role focuses on electrical distribution products and covers Oregon, Eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana. It’s an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional to lead a sales organization that serves a diverse customer base, ranging from commercial construction to industrial.

What You’ll Do

Eaton’s North American Sales Division is currently seeking an Area Sales Manager to join our team. This position is part of our North America Electrical Sales team and will be based in our Tukwila, WA location. Position Overview: The Sales Manager will manage a customer base, sales resources, products and channels to market to achieve planned results for the district. This individual will provide leadership and development to a sales team consisting of sales professionals, sales reps and the distributor channel. Expected results include but are not limited to growth in sales and market share, channel development as well as developing talent within the district.

In This Function You Will

  • . Ability to manage sales engineers in different markets – specifically Western Washington and Alaska
  • . Ability to navigate and cooperate with plant operations to meet and exceed customer urgent requests.
  • . Develop employee talent to prepare the business for future success
  • . Develop and grow existing channel relationships
  • . Grow sales and market share
  • . Have a strong knowledge of managing products, product applications and distribution channels

  • . Manage different maturity levels in the market, and varying business cycles

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution
  • Minimum seven (7) years electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering experience
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Manager of people experience
  • 10+ years of electrical industry sales experience
