Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Associate to support the ATM department by reviewing and processing invoices. This role offers flexible scheduling options based on the volume of incoming invoices and can be structured as an in-person, hybrid, or remote position. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in spreadsheet programs like Excel.

 

Role & Responsibility

  • Review and process invoices related to the ATM department, ensuring accuracy and timely handling.
  • Verify the mathematical accuracy of accounting documents and reconcile transactions to ledger accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting source documentation and files.
  • Utilize a 10-key calculator to ensure efficiency in data entry and reconciliation tasks.
  • Prepare and balance worksheet totals, identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial transactions.
  • Gather and analyze data to generate routine financial and accounting reports.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and ensure compliance with organizational procedures.

 

Skills & Experience

  • 1-2 years of accounting experience, including familiarity with General Ledger, A/P, A/R, and reconciliations.
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and basic mathematical skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under time constraints while maintaining accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with Ariba and other financial systems.
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to prepare financial reports with precision.
  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet programs, including Excel, with experience in data analysis and reporting.

Work Hours & Flexibility:

  • This is a part-time position with hours varying based on invoice volume.
  • Flexible scheduling options are available, including five days at 4 hours per day or three days at 7 hours per day.
