We’re seeking a Cost Controller to join our client’s project team and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project in Bristol.

As a Cost Controller, you will be a crucial part of the Project Controls team, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery through robust cost management and reporting. You will work closely with multiple functions, including Procurement, Commercial, and Estimating, to implement cost control systems, analyze data, and provide actionable insights.

πŸ”‘ Key Responsibilities

  • Cost Control & Reporting: Develop, implement, and maintain cost management systems to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Earned Value Management (EVM): Produce monthly EVM reports, ensuring accurate analysis and reporting of project performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Procurement, Finance, Planning, and Commercial teams to establish processes for cost and value tracking.
  • Change Management: Review cost impacts of project changes, ensuring documentation and communication of approved changes.
  • KPI Development: Create and maintain performance metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Monthly Reporting: Prepare and review detailed project cost reports and performance updates for internal and client use.

Essential Skills:

  • High-level mathematical ability and analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Power BI, and Office 365.
  • Strong understanding of cost management principles and EVM.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

  • Engineering or construction experience.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 and Agile Data Science principles.
