Purpose: You will be responsible for supporting sales and margin goals, calendar adherence, and overall support of assigned market segment. Support Merchandise Manager or Merchandiser to execute action plans across respective division. Accountable for efficiently managing daily responsibilities and assisting Merchandising team meet company financial targets and marketing objectives.
Core Responsibilities
- Support the development of and drive departmental and category specific plans and execute to achieve goals.
- Distribute and maintain all information of assigned category, including hang tags, workbooks, line lists and CAD books.
- Item set up in BBR for all styles.
- Execute business plans and adhere to calendars and budgets.
- Support Merchandise Manager and/or Merchandiser prepare for key meetings by gathering data, building presentations and other tasks as assigned.
- Prepare for seasonal strategy meetings and present as needed.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all category product details.
- Prepare supporting documentation to be used in seasonal product briefs and strategic Summit meetings.
- Develop and maintain accurate Product Line Plans.
- Proof technical copy for digital and hangtags.
- Contribute to competitive analysis for division; maintain awareness of trends and competition and apply to Eddie Bauer.
- Manage all photo and in-line samples.
- Run business reports, analyze data and make recommendations to improve performance. Ensure accurate and timely data entry and maintenance.
- Aid in preparation for all milestone, monthly, and weekly meetings.
- Analyze department/category selling data to inform future merchandising strategies.
- Analyze competition; style counts, color stories, pricing structure. Compile and communicate findings and opportunities.

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Retail Merchandising or related field.
- 1+ years related experience, preferably for a specialty retailer.
- Understanding of key retail sales metrics and key merchandising requirements.
- Effectively present information both internally and externally in a professional and brand appropriate manner.
- Skilled at Word, Excel and a strong knowledge of spreadsheet functions.
- Travel may be required, based on business needs.
- Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
- This is a hybrid position and requires in-office 3 days per week.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company’s policy.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
- Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level
