About the job

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the accurate and timely handling of incoming and outgoing stock.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Receive, place and load incoming/outgoing stock which requires lifting and carrying items weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance on an intermittent basis for up to eight hours per day
  • Verify receiving/shipping documents and accurate product counts
  • Operate packaging and material movement equipment
  • Additional duties as assigned by manager

RequirementsEducation And Experience

Education Level

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent

Years of Experience

  • Experience in warehouse environment preferred

Skills

  • Understand product description, SKU and PO numbers
  • Basic mathematic skills to include an understanding of geometry in order to build stable pallets
  • Reading comprehension and ability to communicate in writing

Physical Requirements

DC-Non-Exempt

  • Standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and reaching heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours per day.
  • Grasping, pushing, and pulling of materials on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours per day. Reaching and working above and below the shoulder level on an intermittent basis for up to twelve hours per day.
  • Ability to safely team lift, lower, and move items over 75 pounds over the course of a workday with or without assistance.
  • Sit or stand continuously for up to twelve hours per day. *Must be comfortable working with and around forklifts, conveyer systems, scissor lifts, and hazardous machinery.
  • Must be comfortable with performing many of the tasks listed above from a ladder up to fifteen feet in elevation above the floor surface observing safety controls.
  • Must utilize proper safety controls at all times.
  • Must be able to drive automobiles, forklifts and scissor lifts.
