Summary

The IT Support Specialist assists the IT Department in all aspects of technology while providing excellent internal customer service.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • PC/Laptop setup, installation, training, upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • Windows 10 and Office 365 support
  • Support corporate workstation management tool including anti-virus, software patching and automated configuration changes
  • Provide support for remote users
  • Maintain Sharepoint intranet.
  • Office 365 and Windows 10 support
  • Support wired and wireless network
  • Setup, maintain and support printers
  • Support mobile devices as needed.
  • Aid with network data backup and retrieval
  • Assist with e-mail security, filtering, and retrieval
  • Support other network connected devices as needed (such as production machinery)
  • Process move\add\change account requests
  • Provide backup support for all network infrastructure including servers, firewalls and switches and phone system
  • Support building security systems including badge access and security cameras
  • Provide audio visual support for conference rooms, remote meetings and company meetings
  • Provide end user support and training in various levels of technical and non-technical staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Occasional overtime will be required.

Other Necessary Functions

  • Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards, safety and stretching requirements directed by Edlund Company and the department.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to operate various machines.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to team and/or employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Windows 8.1/10/Server 2016/2019 and Office 365
  • Experience ERP software would be a plus
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies and implementation plans
  • Exceptional communications skills both written and oral.
  • Customer service oriented with strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Systems/Network administration experience or willingness to learn
  • Familiar with anti-virus, and firewall software
  • Installation and troubleshooting of PC’s and peripherals
  • Ability and willingness to learn new things.
  • Degree in MIS, CIS, IT, or equivalent work experience/
  • Safe work practices.
