As we expand our impact nationally, we’re looking for a dedicated, visionary Head of Operations to join our team and lead us through this next phase.
The Role:
We’re seeking a driven, experienced Head of Operations to provide strategic oversight and hands-on leadership across our diverse and growing service portfolio. This role will report directly to the Managing Director and involve close collaboration with teams at all levels to ensure our services continue to exceed quality, regulatory, and care standards. Your leadership will help us deliver outstanding, person-centered support in line with CQC requirements and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Registered Managers, each overseeing specialized services, ensuring that all care and operational standards are met.
- Drive operational efficiency, ensuring resources are aligned with client needs and organizational priorities.
- Maintain rigorous compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding standards, and health and safety policies.
- Collaborate with management to set, monitor, and achieve service development goals, including conducting regular audits and setting performance metrics.
- Support service expansion efforts, working closely with the bid development team on potential growth opportunities.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, driving professional development and fostering open communication within your teams.
Who We’re Looking For:
Essential Skills & Experience:
- QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent leadership qualification.
- 5+ years in a senior leadership role within health and social care, with experience managing mental health services.
- Deep understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and health and safety standards.
- Proficient in IT applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- A demonstrated passion for delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Management certifications (e.g., ILM, CMI)
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities or mental health challenges.
- Knowledge of supportive communication techniques, such as Makaton or BSL.
