Our client is a national, full building envelope contractor, specialising in roofing, cladding, glazing and supporting clients from the early design stage to the construction and throughout the buildings’ life cycle.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate within the team to support all project planning activities.
  • Prepare project-specific programmes for inclusion in tender submissions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of initial project plans, phasing, coordination, and sequencing for project tender programmes.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient planning to meet tender submission requirements.
  • Work with the tender, pre-construction and delivery teams on a range of opportunities and live projects by collaboratively developing and maintaining robust detailed project plans.
  • Prepare project specific programmes for inclusion within the Tender submission.
  • Establish optimal construction methodologies, logic sequences & working outputs by producing programmes for review and preparing logistics proposal.
  • Assist the Operations teams with tracking changes and progress on live projects where required to take into account delays, site progression and commercial impact.
  • Visit sites, attend progress meetings, monitor progress and assist to update short term plans and construction programmes.
  • Learn to communicate and quantify the effects of progress on key dates.
  • Promote a partnership ethos within the Pre-Construction department of estimating and Planning as well as Operations teams by developing and maintaining close working relationships both internally and with external client’s team.

About the Candidate:

  • Knowledge / Experience of project planning systems and software such as Microsoft Project (desirable) and Asta Powerproject.
  • Experience within the construction industry or related industry (preferable).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good standard of general IT literacy; proficient in use of Word and Excel.
  • Good basic standard of general literacy and numeracy.
  • Able to communicate with team members and departments to either relay or gather information, and to assist with preparing reports and updating information on site.
