As the Group Finance Director, you will be a pivotal member of the leadership team, responsible for guiding the financial strategy and operations as the business embarks on its next stage of growth. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the executive team, you will lead all aspects of financial management, drive performance, and ensure effective financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic financial plan aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to optimise financial performance.
- Lead financial due diligence, supporting M&A activity, and integrating acquisitions.
- Enhance and monitor the company’s financial systems, controls, and reporting to ensure transparency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to drive operational efficiency, profitability, and value creation.
- Implement robust risk management and compliance frameworks in line with regulatory requirements.
- Spearhead initiatives to enhance cost management and resource allocation, driving profit maximization.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with a minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience.
- Proven track record in a senior finance role, ideally within private equity-backed or high-growth environments.
- Sector experience within insurance, financial services, or similarly regulated industry.
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset, capable of translating financial insight into actionable business strategies.
- Experience leading M&A, due diligence, and post-acquisition integration.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
