Pembury Partners are scouting for a savvy and accomplished CFO to join a small family office. The role will be remote with a once-a month trip to the headquarters to meet with the Board.
The CFO will possess overall responsibility for financial direction and strategy, ensuring long-term financial success in terms of investment performance, tax & compliance and cost control/analysis.
The role can be initially managed also over a 4 day-week with potential to grow to 5 days.
Amongst the duties:
- Financial guardian of the family’s wealth, managing complex financial matters with precision and foresight
- Initiate and drive finance transformation initiatives
- Oversee all financial management reporting and associated analysis
- Tax strategy and compliance
- Responsible for the quoted and unquoted investment strategy. Technology startups experience preferred
- Commercial oversight of farming business and property portfolio
- Develop procedures and policies across the business that mitigate risk, improve efficiency and/or increase effectiveness
- Budget setting for family, charity, farm
Skillset sought:
- Degree in finance, maths or accounting
- CPA or CFA certification
- Experienced and hands-on CFO
- Experience and understanding of the broader context of family wealth, including philanthropy and generational transfer of assets.
- Sound understanding of Trust structures
- Proven leadership ability
- Strong influencing and communication skills
- Confident, calm under pressure and resilient
