We are looking for a Licensing Manager to join our team
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate closely with the Sr. Director, Licensing to determine strategic objectives and contribute to the overall revenue growth of the IP Licensing departmental goals
- Possess acute interest in gaming industry including knowledge of modern gaming, retailer insight, sales lifecycles, line planning, trends and play patterns
- Analyze existing licensee businesses via sales comparisons, forecasts, and competitive analysis on a quarterly basis
- Ability to communicate with cross functional teams including brand marketing, legal, finance and other Bandai Namco affiliated international territories
- Gather annual and quarterly sales projections and verify quarterly sales with licensee partners for the finance department
- Contribute to new Licensee recruitment: blue sky ideation, incremental business opportunity identification, trend research, and overall market analysis
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in licensing or related industry experience
- Strong proficiency in reviewing licensing contracts and fluency in negotiating key business terms
- Knowledge of gaming industry
- Effective communication and presentation skills including deck building
- Resourceful, pro-active, self-starter and team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English and Japanese (preferred)
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, or related field
- Or relevant work experience
