Responsibilities

- Assist Code 500 in developing and drafting recommended supply strategies, policies, and procedures to stand up PHNSY&IMF Det Guam
- Review material management facility and space requirements in Guam and provide feedback for improvements
- Perform research on a variety of topics associated with material management in Guam
- Draft technical instructions, standard operating procedures, memorandums, desk guides, process maps, etc.
- Assist with codifying processes and transfer of Tribal Knowledge; define best practices
- Evaluate and develop training curriculum, materials, and instruction on material management
- Help resolve difficult material issues through coordination with stakeholders; develop measurements and metrics
- Assist in the development of project plans
- Monitor progress toward meeting the plan and identifies the cause and impact of delays; adjust plans and schedules accordingly
- Keep Nakupuna Leadership abreast of project execution
Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate possesses experience in Navy supply/material management operations in a public Shipyard environment. Must be self-motivated, have strong attention to detail, good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work in a dynamic environment while remaining flexible to the client’s requirements is a must. Must have strong organization skills.
Education: BS or BA degree in Business Management or related degree is preferred. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience: This position requires at least 10 years of related experience with supply operations, preferably within a public shipyard.
