Position Overview:
This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute directly to our company’s growth and success. In this role, you’ll work closely with the CEO to drive key improvements, particularly in Health & Safety and workforce management. You’ll play a vital role in enhancing our organizational value through effective talent management and safety processes.
Please note, this position is located in Clark’s Harbour, Nova Scotia – relocation would be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety Leadership
- Lead and oversee the company’s Health & Safety programs, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees across multiple business units.
- Develop and implement safety initiatives that align with industry standards and regulations.
HR Leadership
- Lead the company’s human resources operations across multiple business units.
- Oversee all HR activities, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance with industry standards.
Strategic Workforce Planning
- Develop and implement innovative HR strategies to support the company’s rapid growth and organizational needs.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to provide valuable insights on workforce planning, talent acquisition, and retention strategies.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance HR processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness in recruitment, onboarding, and employee management.
- Implement best practices to streamline workflows, supporting the company’s expansion and employee satisfaction.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws and HR regulations, safeguarding the company’s workforce management and legal standing.
- Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to adapt HR strategies as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in an HR role, preferably in a fast-growing business.
- Strong background in employee relations, talent acquisition, and HR compliance.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in English.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $85,000 per year.
