We are looking for a Hardware Electrical Engineer to join our team
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working in the consumer electronics industry, and embedded system design.
- Experience with lab equipment: digital multimeter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, power supply, data logger, etc.
- Experience with prototype bring-up, debugging, function and performance verification and validation, and manufacturing support.
- Experience in circuit board level design engineering including chipset, memory, high speed interface, power supplies, Cadence/Allegro and PCB/Flex technologies.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with system development in consumer electronics/embedded design.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: SOC/MCU, power (DC-DC converters, battery and power management), mixed circuits, sensor integration.
- Experience with system integration with software development from firmware through system level.
- Experience with various communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, MIPI-DSI), standard Radio Frequency/Wi-Fi interfaces at chipset, baseband, and antenna integration levels.
- Experience working with OEM/ODM/JDM/CM partners.
- Understanding of product development process for mass-volume production design, with a focus on design for manufacturing and design for test.
Responsibilities
- Work with internal teams to evaluate and select components and new technologies for next generation products based on product vision and end-user experiences.
- Design, develop, and review systems and sub-components from concept to mass production. Perform detailed development to bring your design to mass production by setting factory test requirements, assisting in software bring up, and traveling on-site to the manufacturer to ensure the design is built and tested successfully.
- Create system specifications and plan/lead validation of your designs. Lead complete functional verification, signal characterization, power modeling/test, and system coexistence testing.
- Drive resolution of cross-functional issues including those related to architecture (performance, power consumption), production (quality, failure analysis, manufacturing), and development (schematic design and review, PCB layout, and system integration).
- Work with suppliers/manufacturing partners to establish relationships for future product designs.
