We are looking for a Financial Business Analyst to join our team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
  • Review invoices, verify coding, and process payments according to company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with GBS and vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Analyze freight costs and trends to optimize transportation expenses and timely billing.
  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure efficient freight operations.
  • Monitor and report cost and billing analysis on periodic basis.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up with customers on outstanding invoices.
  • Prepare and meet cash targets and inform management on any risks.
  • Implement collection strategies to minimize past due accounts and improve cash flow.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes and address customer inquiries.
  • Assist in month-end closing procedures, including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial reports and variance analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between the finance department and GBS for shared services activities.
  • Coordinate with GBS teams to streamline processes and resolve issues related to financial operations.
  • Provide support and guidance to GBS staff on finance-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a financial analyst or similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Familiarity with ERP/ Accounting systems and financial software applications.
  • Certification such as CPA, ACCA or CMA is a plus.
  • Spoken and written French Language will be a plus not required.
