We are looking for a Controls & Automation Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our team
As the successful candidate, you will:
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete control and automation engineering design deliverables for a variety of projects.
- Prepare Control and Automation deliverables, including but not limited to:
- Instrumentation and Control Design Criteria
- Communication design criteria (wireless networks, fiber optic networks)
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Procurement packages for instrumentation and plant control system equipment (specifications, technical bid evaluation, vendor data review)
- Engineering Lists (Instrument Index, I/O Lists, Cable Schedules, material take-offs)
- Design Deliverables (Interconnection diagrams, Loop Drawings, Layout drawings, Installation drawings, Control Panel Layouts, Control System Architecture)
- Functional Descriptions and Control Philosophy
You bring to the role:
- Must be working towards graduating in 2025, or recently graduated, with a Bachelor of Applied Science, Master of Applied Science, or Master of Engineering from an accredited University in Electrical Engineering.
- Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities at school or in the community.
- Interest in Control Systems Engineering and Communication Systems will be considered an asset.
- Previous coop or work terms in the controls, automation and electrical engineering design and execution will be considered an asset.
- Technical experience with controls systems design, databases, programming, ability to use data-centric design tools and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) will be preferred.
