Helmut Lang is seeking a dynamic and multi-talented Public Relations and Social Coordinator to join our marketing team. Reporting to the Head of Brand, this role will play a crucial part in managing communications as well as cultivating VIP relationships, resulting in global brand exposure and awareness.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Public Relations

  • Assist in developing and executing PR strategies that align with Helmut Lang’s brand identity and marketing objectives.
  • Partner with our PR agency to manage press releases, media alerts, and other communications materials.
  • Maintain and share globally all press and VIP clippings.
  • Coordinate the collection for press days, previews, and other media / marketing events and shoots.
  • Manage sample trafficking for our agency, editorial requests and VIP dressing.
  • Track and report on PR activities and their impact on brand visibility and perception.

VIP Relations

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with celebrities, stylists, and other influential figures in fashion and culture.
  • Coordinate VIP dressing for high-profile events, red carpets, and editorial shoots.
  • Identify and pursue strategic VIP partnerships that align with Helmut Lang’s brand values and target audience.
  • Manage the gifting program for VIPs and influencers.
  • Track and report on VIP placements and their impact on brand awareness and desirability.

Social Media

  • Partner on and execute a social media strategy that aligns with Helmut Lang’s brand identity, marketing objectives, and overall business goals.
  • Create platform-specific strategies for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging social platforms, ensuring a cohesive yet tailored approach for each.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage social media for storytelling, community building, and driving e-commerce sales.
  • Build and nurture an engaged online community of Helmut Lang enthusiasts and potential customers.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase follower growth, engagement rates, and social media conversions.
  • Oversee community management efforts, ensuring timely and on-brand responses to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Create and manage social media-specific initiatives such as contests, Q&As, and live events to boost engagement and brand loyalty.

Additional Support

  • Manage sample tracking for marketing team, including press agency, editorial requests, photo shoots and VIP dressing.
  • Assist in planning and executing brand events, including fashion shows, product launches, and VIP experiences.
  • Coordinate logistics for events, including venue selection, guest lists, and on-site management.
  • Work closely with the Design, Marketing, and E-commerce teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all brand touchpoints.
  • Liaise with regional teams to support global PR and VIP initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of seasonal PR and marketing plans.
  • Manage PR and brand related invoices, and internal onboarding process for 3rd party vendors.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and distribute minutes for weekly meetings.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining PR databases, documentation, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in PR, preferably in the luxury fashion or lifestyle sector.
  • Strong understanding of the fashion industry, media landscape, and influencer ecosystem.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and analytics tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend events as needed.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Passion for avant-garde fashion and deep appreciation for Helmut Lang’s aesthetic and heritage.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with high-profile individuals.
  • Discretion and ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.

Salary range: $28/hr -31/hr*
