We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support – Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required: CRNA Medication Management – Chapters 1 – 4 (https://connect.nurses.ab.ca/home/%2Flearning-and-development%2Flearning-modules%2F) and the NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (https://courses.nextgenu.org/course/view.php?id=271#section-0)
Additional Required Qualifications:
Basic computer literacy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a strong Family Centered Care philosophy. Ability to be physically confined to an area due to job demands. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all patient information and health records. Ability to adhere to nursing policy and practice standards. Ability to maintain adherence to Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Ability to identify own strengths and weaknesses and showing initiative for improvement. Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others and accept change.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred – Applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and personal attributes may be considered. Recent Pediatric experience preferred. Recent Charge Nurse experience preferred.
