We are looking for a Occupational Therapist to join our team
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to children, focusing on enhancing daily living skills, sensory processing, and participation in play and learning activities.
- Develop and implement individualized, strength-based treatment plans in line with our philosophy of celebrating neurodiversity, advocating for environmental changes and accommodations and empowering children to thrive.
- Collaborate closely with families and interdisciplinary team members to create a supportive, holistic care plan that addresses each child’s unique needs.
- Use EMR systems (Jane) to document progress, update treatment plans, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
- Conduct therapy sessions in a variety of settings, including the clinic, clients’ homes, preschools, daycares and virtually, as needed.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Active registration and practice permit with ACOT
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle
- Professional liability insurance
- Willingness to obtain a current police record check
- Experience or training in sensory integration, motor skills development, autism, or related areas
