Our client is looking to hire a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team.
The role of Senior Financial Accountant is a hands-on position, responsible for preparing the cash reporting, reconciling the bank accounts, assisting in the month end closing process, reconciling of balance sheet accounts and creating journal entries.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Daily Cash Position Summary and presentation to senior management.
- Monitor Cash position on a daily basis and initiate fund transfer between bank accounts. Ensure all bank accounts are in positive cash position.
- Monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations, prepaids and other assigned accounts.
- Accounting for prepaid expenses ensuring prepaid and amortization schedules are updated.
- Initiate wire transfers when requested by Accounts Payable or Management.
- Timely monthly commodity tax filings and remittance to the government authorities, reconciliation of tax entries, remittances and receivables/payables and assisting with commodity tax audits by government authorities.
- Lease administration & accounting for computer, equipment and vehicle leases.
- Monthly reporting, payments and accounting entries.
- Company insurance policy administration.
- Prepare foreign exchange analysis on a monthly basis to analyze the variance compared to budget.
- Other accounting responsibilities as assigned to support requests from the business.
Requirements
- 4+ years financial accounting experience.
- CPA designation or advanced standing.
- Strong ERP financial systems experience including generating reports (SAP preferred).
- Experience in rapidly growing companies.
- Analytical with an aptitude in dealing with numbers.
