We are looking for a Construction Journeyman Electrician to join our team
Qualifications
- Red Seal Journeyman Electrician
- 5 – 10 years experience as an electrician performing electrical construction, maintenance and installation in an Oilfield environment.
- Possess a high degree of initiative, creativity, communication skills, self-supervision, and respect for safety requirements.
- Be a team player and work closely with maintenance, production, engineering and outside services.
- Have a flexible work schedule – shift work, overtime and weekends and schedule changes are routine and required aspects of this position.
- Be proficient in fundamentals of lockout/tagout.
- Have a knowledge or ability to interpret the Canadian Electric Code.
- Be able to understand a project request from upper management, lay it out, determine and order materials needed and be responsible for successful completion and start-up.
- Possess the ability to read electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Be experienced in performing preventive maintenance tasks, taking corrective action for repairs, and be knowledgeable in electrical equipment installations.
- Have experience with AC & DC motors and drives.
- Understand P&ID’s.
- Be able to climb ladders.
