Our client, a leading Biotechnology Company is hiring a Lab IT Specialist to join their team in Summit, NJ!
**This is a 1-year W2 contract with benefits**
24-hour shift (8-10 hours/4-5 days a week)
As the Lab IT Specialist, you will implement, monitor, and provide technical support of customer laboratory IT environments, typically integrated with instrumentation.
Responsibilities:
- Administers and assures connectivity and security of customer’s Windows-based platform; user/group permissions, file/folder permissions, group policies, local security policies, etc…
- Repairing and troubleshooting instrument-related computers and escalating issues to the client infrastructure teams
- Create and maintain a physical inventory of lab equipment, PCs, software, and any other information specified by the client
- Acts as client Liaison for software/hardware-related inquiries
Desired Skills:
- 1-3 years of Corporate/Enterprise level IT support
- Associate Degree in Computer Science or similar
- Microsoft Office, networking, remote computing, and backup systems
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technology issues
- Prior experience utilizing ServiceNow
