Montessori Guides (classroom teachers) are responsible for one-on-one Montessori instruction, classroom behavior management, monitoring of student progress and school-to-home communications.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to successfully pass a criminal background check. Candidates who have or are working toward a degree in a field related to early childhood education are strongly encouraged to apply. An ideal candidate knows or is willing to learn Spanish and American Sign Language, has experience working in a pre-school classroom or childcare setting, and embodies the philosophy that children should both have fun at school and be academically challenged.
It is essential that interested applicants be committed to a collaborative, co-teaching model in an inquiry-based educational program. You must genuinely like children to be successful in this position.
