Job Description

Welder & Fabricator – Skelmersdale – Permanent Role – Will accept time served or qualified Welder/Fabricator.

Must Have At Least 10 Years’ Experience.

Salary: £15.00 – £18.00 (based on experience). If at Foreman/Supervisory level this may increase dependant on experience. To be discussed at interview.

Shift

• Monday to Friday – 08.00am – 4.30pm, Finish at 3.30pm on a Friday.
• Overtime – To work at least 2 Saturdays per month (07.00am – 11.00am) – No set weekend pattern this is flexible.

Silver Arrow are currently recruiting for a Welder/Fabricator to work for our client based in Skelmersdale on a permanent basis. Your Role

• Assemble and fabricate metal components based on blueprints and specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as callipers and micrometres to ensure accurate measurements.
• Operate cranes and other equipment to move and position metal materials.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal pieces.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure finished products meet specifications – Maintain a clean and organized work area.

What We Need From You

• Previous experience working with sheet metal or similar materials.
• Time served / Qualification
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as callipers and micrometres.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in metal fabrication.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy objects or standing for long periods of time.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the fabrication process.
