Are you an experienced SEO Strategist ready to join a six-figure digital marketing agency and help shape the SEO department?

At Skayl, we’re looking for a talented Senior SEO Strategist to work with a range of clients, with 13+ established-commerce brands to help them grow and drive more organic traffic to their websites.

As Senior SEO Strategist, you will be integral to the SEO strategy of key client accounts. Your role will involve:

  • Leading SEO strategy creation to maximise ROI for a portfolio of key clients.
  • Collaborating closely with other digital teams within the agency to ensure omni-channel campaigns are aligned.
  • Briefing copywriters, technical SEOs, and digital PR specialists to ensure work aligns with client expectations.
  • Working closely with the wider team to ensure consistent SEO strategy within the SEO team.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage SEO campaigns.
  • Manage the workflow for our SEO team.
  • Research, write, optimise, and report on SEO performance to maximise the effectiveness of organic search campaigns.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, gap analysis, content optimisation, meta-tag optimisation, technical audits, backlink audits, link acquisition, and more.
  • Proactively contribute to the wider team to provide strategic recommendations that are highly applicable to clients’ business models, expectations, and goals.
  • Work with our development team to diagnose key technical issues—both pre- and post-launch—that might hold back a site’s performance.
  • Analyse customer behaviour and journeys to strategise effective conversion rate optimisation approaches.
  • Monitor and report on metrics such as conversions, keyword rankings, organic traffic, effectiveness of on-site optimisation, etc.
  • Stay up to date with the latest SEO strategies and technologies, and actively assist to improve our clients’ offerings.
  • Build rapport with clients through routine and scheduled interactions.
  • Support with new business pitches.

Essential Key Attributes/Skills:

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in an SEO role.
  • Excellent knowledge of SEO best practices and demonstrable experience implementing these.
  • Experience in building client relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Experience in training and coaching team members.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite (Excel, Word, Slides, Docs, and Sheets).
  • Good analytical skills with proficiency in Excel – VLOOKUPs, pivot tables etc
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Forward-thinking and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Proactive with a can-do approach to work.
  • Curiosity to explore new approaches to challenges.
  • Positive mindset and upbeat attitude, bringing value to both our clients and the Skayl team.
  • Competent knowledge and familiarity with all social media channels and platforms.
  • Analytical skills to provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve ROI for clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £27,500.00-£35,000.00 per month
