Quartz is seeking a competitive and proven salesperson with excellent communication skills to join our sales team as an Account Executive-Individual Sales. This role will increase business sales by developing relationships with new and existing members, managing distribution channel partners and brokers throughout the health plan’s expanding service areas. This position will have the opportunity to support our expanding Medicare Advantage product line as well as support other product lines during non-open enrollment months.

  • Starting salary range based upon skills and experience: $46,750 – $53,000 plus sales incentive bonus, and robust total rewards package

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inside sales activities using telephonic tools to achieve departmental goals. This includes but not limited to: cold-calling, warm lead follow-up, assisting members with enrollment applications, ensuring that members are enrolled, agent training, and community events or presentations.
  • Completed documentation for all prospecting, service, and sale correspondence within sales database.
  • Build and manage effective working relationships with all distribution channel partners, including but not limited to: brokers, agents, consultants, community liaisons, or any other party contracted to assist a person with research, servicing, or purchasing health insurance products. This includes conducting webinars or in-person seminars with prospective members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of sales/service experience, preferably in the health insurance industry
  • Valid health/life insurance license(s) within designated service area
  • Excellent sale, negotiation, and persuasion skills
  • Understanding of health care and/or insurance industry
  • Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to make independent judgments and provide innovative solutions
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, sharing best practices and experiences
  • Excellent communication and written skills, which include presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills – ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize tasks
  • Create strong relationships and provide positive experiences for internal and external partners
  • Ability to travel to off-site meetings, as required
