Responsibilities

Deliver engaging instruction using curriculum materials and educational software.

Develop daily lesson plans and classroom schedules that align with state and school requirements.

Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to provide instructional assistance and implement curriculum modifications as needed.

Establish and maintain standards for student behavior, creating a structured, safe, and supportive learning environment.

Maintain open communication with parents/guardians, keeping them informed about student progress, challenges, and any external factors that may impact performance.

Participate in team meetings to address student and parent concerns when necessary.

Assess student progress through ongoing data collection and analysis.

Stay current with research-based practices, subject-area developments, and professional growth opportunities.

Constructively respond to both formal and informal feedback.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Bachelorβs degree or higher in education or a related field.
-
Experience and/or expertise in curriculum development, differentiated instruction, and classroom teaching.

Background in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with autism-related disabilities and emotional disturbances (preferred).

Strong verbal and written communication, instructional, curriculum development, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and new initiatives with flexibility and motivation.

Proven ability to manage tasks efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain organization with keen attention to detail.

Ability to remain calm and make independent decisions in emergency situations.

Proficiency in instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry, and basic office equipment.
